National Day of Prayer 2012
Thursday, May 3, 2012, is our National Day of Prayer. A day when the nation should come together and pray for our leaders, our homes and families, and schools.
I will join my voice in prayer and lift up the name that is above every name, Jesus.
I will pray for those that will follow that what we leave behind is something they can hold onto in living a life for God. That I might leave a testimony of separation and consecration. A testimony of loving the Lord.
Our families are under attack on every side. Families need to pray together for strength. Let's pray to strengthen the unity of our families.
Our world has seen many changes: presidents used to pray to God and seek His will and direction in leading a nation. Now, the only voice of God we hear is in our churches, although, in some churches, God isn't invited anymore.
Do you see in the cover of this book out Founding Father's lay a hand on the president's shoulders? The prayers of the past follow future generations. I will pray today for our nation's tomorrows, my children and their future families, and for yours, too. Hold onto prayer, friend, hang on to prayer!!! Don't let it go and be lost to us.
Some will be praying at every third hour today, some will only find time at the start of the day, some may have a moment of silence, and some may forget altogether.
National Day of Prayer 2012, let us hope this will not be the last one?
Thank you for visiting with me today. I prayed for every one of you and yours.
